Hi,
I just updated my Manager SE from 8.09 to 8.1.3. It has an error with the Migration with a Migration Failed message. Unfortunately the program won't open until this is cleared up as there's this message ...

Re: 1990 Buick ELectra Wiring
I'm getting here late and you quite possibly have found this... It sounds more likely to be a bad switch - master, or on the door. In order for the window to roll up, or down, the wiring has to be intact from the RR switch to the master. This is a reversible motor and if one of the wires was broken ...

Re: Write Offs
OK, this might not be the way it should be done, but it works. I entered .01 in the payment box. I'm then prompted if I want to post any additional payments. I click no Invoice has not been printed....I click yes The customer is not set to charge... Click yes Invoice from history...Select the custom...

Write Offs
I've got a couple of old RO's that I'm just going to write off. Thankfully it's not for a lot of money. How do I close these out as they're open RO's currently? Will, if at some point in the future they happen to come back in have a pop up - This person owes?

Re: Open Recall Not Working?
I only have a subscription to Manager SE. I checked and all the vehicles that I've looked at the "OPEN RECALLS" box is grayed out. This would be a useful feature. How do I get it, or what do I need to do?

Re: Estimator Labor Times
It's an estimator, it's a guide; no stone tablet of absolutes is available in the marketplace that I'm aware of. If you discover any kind of discrepancy, our editorial staff is always happy to look into it. Thanks for the reply and I understand. I never believed this was more than a guide, but wher...

Re: Estimator Labor Times
In this digital age of instantaneous gratification it still amazes me that we're working under a system that was started by Henry Ford in the early 20th. century. It had its' time and place, but it seems like it's time to move past flat rate and the way we quote jobs. I want to answer the question, ...

Estimator Labor Times
I looked, and maybe I'm not looking in the correct location, or there isn't anything... How about a forum specifically related to labor times? Maybe it's just me, but I notice more times that fall short versus times that are realistic, or too high. I'm aware of how GM used to do time studies and can...

Glitch With 7.1.7
I recently upgraded my Manager program to 7.1.7 and noticed an issue when typing in the "Work Performed" box. I'm usually verbose in describing what was done and once I get past 4 lines when I hit enter to start a new sentence I'm taken to the top of the page, or where the first sentence is. Hitting...

Re: 1997 Buick Century - Transmission Issue?
Isn't this a kick in the jewels. I've lost count of how many "issues" we've come up against that were considered normal operation by the owner. I have in place a detailed pre repair work sheet that is one of the few items that isn't optional.... I know I really went over the top on this one but eve...

Re: 1997 Buick Century - Transmission Issue?
Seeing as the scanner is hooked to the vehicle - What is the VSS reading when the gauge indicates 90 MPH? Does that read 90 MPH when checking either the engine or transmission data screen? Is this a gauge fault or something with the VSS/wiring/PCM? I know that's what you're asking, but if you see 90...

Re: What Brand Injectors for Duramax?
OK, that make sense. Is that Snap-on? It looks like they round up, or down, the balance rates. Anything below .5mm3 is 0 and above is 1mm3. 2.5mm3 would show 3 I'm assuming. Here's what GM's software looks like from a typical LB7 with injector problems... LB7 Before.JPG And then after replacing the ...

Re: What Brand Injectors for Duramax?
I had 2 injectors go bad within a month of each other. The injector balance rates of all the others were at least +7 or -7 and have been for awhile. I take this truck out of town pulling my boat. It was a no brainier to me to replace all of them for piece of mind. All the balance rates are 0 now, t...

Re: What Brand Injectors for Duramax?
Here's an example of what I'm talking about. A customer who owns a 2004 DMax, 6.6L VIN 2, LLY engine. I started to work on this vehicle when it had 187k back in 1/2010. Sporadic fuel filter replacements, usually when he shows up for things he's not able to take care of. 6/2013, 302k, cylinder 5 inje...

Re: 2005 Chev Trailblazer - Radio Troubles
I should have also mentioned once your in TIS2Web, you're selecting SPS, and select Radio from the drop down box. You would program it the way you would a PCM/ECM/TCM, or any other replacement module.

Re: What Brand Injectors for Duramax?
Sorry for getting here late on the reply sbebenelli... The only time I ever replace a whole set of injectors on Duramax's would be for the LB7 engines which were made from 2001 - Mid 2004. Mid 2004 they switched to the LLY engines. These have proven to be very reliable and compared to the internal i...

Johnny,
Did you ever get my PM? The reason I'm asking is it's 4 1/2 months later and I'm still on 6.6.12.

Parts Ordering Issue
About 3-4 weeks ago I ordered parts through my Manager SE 6.6.12 program using Wise Connect. I was busy and by the time I needed the parts I hadn't even realized they hadn't gotten here yet, this was after 5 hours. I called my WD and I'm told that the parts were set for Will Call. The next morning t...

Re: How Are Updates To Manager 7.0 Handled?
Hi Johnny5, I'll make an assumption that anything made, bought in recent history running Win7, 8.1, 10 will do fine? Is there a link to minimum specs? I built this PC at the beginning of the year. Do I talk to my rep, call Mitchell, or is there a link to a download? [PC specs screen grab removed for...
