Tracking tech down time.
Waited a long time for the M1 time clock and just left the other vendor to use Time Manager. Looks and drives well, sure to increase our time management proficiency. The only thing it does not do is track their down time (e-time). Such as 1- Stop= no cars for work on. 2- Paused waiting on parts. 3- ...

Sales Tax Reporting (Non-Taxable Deduction Types)
After all these years, I kinda got spanked by Arizona Dept. of Revenue. I have always filed my sales tax using Taxable & Non-Taxable reports and worked just fine. However now they want me to report the "Resale" and "Sales to government" categories separately, since we do a fair amount of both. I've ...

Re: First Mile Bug
Thanks for the reply. Yes I have seen that a couple of times as well. It should not be this difficult and isn't with other processors. Batches really should match the sales reports in Mitchell, like they have the past 20 years or they way they do with the other processors. We have 3 vendors involved...

First Mile Bug
When we started with First Mile, the process was fairly easy and clean. With a little extra support we made it work properly. WorldPay was the card processor, however they soon sold to another processor. The big issue now is that our cutoff time for next day deposit is 4:30, anything past that time ...

"Category Profit-Custom List" bug report
Nice report, however is not accurate. If you have a category setup as WARRANTY, so you can track warranty expense, it is not totaled in this report. Excludes negative charges. This is potentially a powerful report that has been added, but does not currently work. I think this is fixable, as the Prof...

Accounting Link / Back Office
Looking for reviews, testimonials or issues concerning the Back Office (Mitchell Partner) product. I have talked with the vendor, watched demos about M1 to QuickBooks integration. Any feedback would be appreciated or contact information for shops that are using it, willing to discuss. Didn't see any...

List Of Customers With NO Email Address?
Now that we are using CRM, we have discovered that our customers are getting our "Previously Recommended" notices via email. CRM will not send US mail postcards to any campaign except Scheduled Maintenance Notices. There is a portion of our database that has no email or does not want use it (older g...

Re: Report: Referral - Marketing
Thanks for reply, The order tab "source" is what we use to track the reason a repair come to us. (Diag, repair, maintenance, warranty). Years of data show that the blend changes and would like to continuing that. But you are right, that would otherwise work well. Another option is to continue in Ref...

Report: Referral - Marketing
A year or 2 ago I brought this up and haven't seen any new replies from you or BoltOn. The report called Referral-Marketing doesn't allow Sales$'s for a given date range and other information necessary to get the stats we need to manager our marketing efforts. I would like your suggestion on a work ...

Re: Measuring where customers come from
Tim, Hate to bring up this "dead horse" again, but since this topic was posted 5 shop owners have called me asking how I track ROI on new customers. I just got off the phone with another shop and once again explain the manual process we use to calculate this. As the others has said; if all the data ...

BTW, I did fail to tell you how well the "Referral-Friend/Customer" report works, that thing is awesome!

Re: Measuring where customers come from
Tim, Thanks for the reply. Maybe I've got it wrong? I have always used the "source" field in the Order Tab to source the reason for the visit. So we can monitor the trend of what the reason for the visit was, whether it was a maintenance, breakdown, diagnostic, LOF Only visit. Great info here as the...

Re: Measuring where customers come from
Thanks ARS for the reply. I saw that report but it doesn't source what drove them in ; AAA, ASA, TV add, Towing, press release, NARPRO, BBB, Yelp, Google, ect... Guessing by the lack of input here, the number of views and missing concept in Report Pro, not many interested in the ROI of sourcing new ...

Measuring Where Customers Come From
Before the upgrade to 6.0: we were able to use a custom report to see what drove a customer in and the $ spent for a given date range based on the customer source/referred by field. 1- I only see 1 report in Mitchell: Reports/Management/Referral Marketing. This is similar to what we are looking for....

Edit Service Writer in Configurations
We hired a new service advisor about 30 days ago. Rather than deleting the we let go and adding a new advisor, we edited the old guy with the new one (changed name). All the reports shows the old guy, not the new, so assumes we did not configure properly? 1- Do we fix by deleting old and adding new?...

Boy I'll say! Ken jumped right in and fixed it very quickly. Hated to bother him with it, but he's had the answer twice now for unusual issues. He is a Champ! Thanks to you for the push & please pass along my thanks to Ken.

Replace PC - Cannot Print Lube Sticker?
Looking for any help out there? We recently crashed one of the office PC's. While waiting for the new Dell, we installed the Zebra printer on one of the other office PC's and worked just fine. After we setup the new Dell, installed the Zebra print drivers and downloaded the Zebra Designer software, ...

Thanks Mike,
Export Recommendations to Excel and filtering got me real close to what I need. Maybe someday I'll play with a query, but not for this.
Thanks, Dan
