Labor Item category
Hey there all. Question/idea for the development guys. Is there a possibility to add a second or even a third "category" field in the labor item window? I sometimes have jobs that tie into each other (as we all do) and it'd be nice to just type up an invoice fluidly which saves time (seconds, but st...

Fuel Balance Sys. 2005 GMC K3500 Cab & Chassis
Good morning. Pulling our hair out for the past couple of days on this one. Cab & Chassis with a 6.6 Duramax LLY with dual tank setup and just figured out how the fuel system works. Now honestly- to our shop this is a beast of its own and we were not at all familiar with the fuel transfer system. Af...

Re: 1991Toyota Supra - 7MGTE Stalls Out
Sorry, been out sick lately, and we're back on it this weekend. Yeah- checked powers and grounds at computer and they are good. There is a green wire coming from the computer and going to the fuel pump relay that (by design) is supposed to take over the power supply to energize the relay (and in tur...

Re: 1991Toyota Supra - 7MGTE Stalls Out
Something has to cut the fuel off in the event of an accident. The computer sends power to the circuit opening relay which sends power to fuel pump relay, which sends power to fuel pump. Tested the ignition switch- its good.

2005 Chevy Express 2500 - 4.8L #4 Misfire
Had a Chevy express van come in for a cylinder #4 misfire. Ran normal diagnostics- spark, fuel, injector pulse, etc., which all came back normal. Ran a compression check and found no compression for that cylinder. Removed cylinder head and found a warped valve at the stem area- no evidence of contac...

Re: 2001 Mercedes-Benz CL500 issues
Oh Yeah, by the way- I got 2 labor claims pushed through the aftermarket parts store paid in fulld as well as the fees for acessing Mercedes-Benz's technical database online for 2 24 hr. periods. For only $18.00 a day, its worth it for the info they give you.

Re: 2001 Mercedes-Benz CL500 issues
It took forever to get the computer back up and running in my office after remodeling and switching over to COX comm., but I'm back. Yeah- I had a heck of a time trying to get that MAF to work, but found out that the O.E. one works like a charm and fixed all our issues. Do yourselves a favor- when i...

Re: 2001 Mercedes-Benz CL500 issues
These are aftermarket sensors. Cardone parts. I believe they are new. The part number for this specific application comes down to a 74-10104. Could it be that I need an OE or could something else be affecting these sensors after installation. No foreign materials have been found in them, and cleanin...

2001 Mercedes CL500 - Diagnostic Issues
I'm having some trouble with a customer's CL500. We originally had this car come in 6 weeks ago. Mercedes dealer diagnosed for a bad MAF. Scanned for codes, P0170 and P0173 were present. Removed and replaced MAF with another sensor. Vehicle returned for same issue approx. 2 days later. Same codes pr...
