Re: Change in Ownership and History
Thanks for the response. During this research, we discovered the Change Customer button. After unposting the invoice, we went to the customer screen where this button is located. After clicking on the Change Customer button, it asks if we are changing the Customer and Vehicle. We were able to change...

Change in Ownership and History
After changing ownership on a vehicle, is there a way to change the name on an invoice in history without rewriting the entire ticket? We did an engine replacement for a local business and after the job was completed and invoiced, they advised us that they should have put it in the name of their sub...

Re: Accounts Receivable
I spoke to tech support this afternoon and we discussed the specific issue I described in my 9-11-2014 post. They tested this scenario in 5.9 and it created a credit with an overpayment of a particular invoice, which is correct. When this was done in SE, the On Account Adjustment was created as I ha...

Re: Accounts Receivable
Thanks for the responses. Concerning my first question....sounds like sbcauto is having the same issue with the Accounts Receivable Aging Summary. Hopefully, that will be fixed in 6.5 soon. Concerning my second question....I have a further clarification. My original concern was that when posting a p...

Accounts Receivable - Overpayment Credit
I am in the process of "cleaning up" my Accounts Receivable Aging Summary and have a couple of questions... 1. The report shows some amounts in the On Acct column. The same amount appears as a negative in the Account Aging column. When I look at the Update Customer box, nothing shows up in the On Ac...

Re: Commercial Account Report
No, it is not due to unposted items. I did not look close enough to see if there was any pattern. Saw several accounts that I knew had been in recently and that was enough to cause me to question that entire field. Thanks again and it would be great to have some enhancements concerning the individua...

Re: Commercial Account Report
I have tried using Mail Merge on an Excel Spreadsheet and this seemed to be the answer until I realized that the last in date was not accurate. Not sure what the critera is for that field, however, there were several accounts that I knew have been in recently, however, the Excel Spreadsheet showed a...

Re: Commercial Account Report
Thanks for the quick response....we do have that report in 6.4, however, with the vehicle data included it is extremely large when all we need are company name and date of last visit. Looking forward to the day that Mitchell includes filters with the reports.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

Commercial Account Report
I am trying to obtain a report listing our commercial accounts and the date of their last visit. I do not see a standard report which provides this specific information (the last activity report which includes individuals and companies is too large). I have tried to use the Mail Merge function and a...

Default Setting - Past Due Accounts
Previously in Mitchell 5.9, we were able to reset the alert for past due accounts. This default setting could be customized in Shop Data. In 6.4, we just see an on/off button for 30 days. Is there another way to reset or is this feature going to be added at a later date? We like to have an alert for...

Re: How to Apply Partial Credits
Thanks for the quick response. My problem with using a payment method titled "gift certificate" is that is does not enable us to track the balance remaining on the gift certificate...unless there is something I am missing. Does anyone know of a way to Apply Credit in partial amounts...that would sol...

How to Apply Partial Credits
We are beginning a promotion which will allow the customer to purchase 5 oil changes for a flat fee. The customer prepays and we set up as a credit on their account. Each time they visit, we plan to apply 1/5 of the credit and write off the difference to cover the actual cost of the oil change. We l...
