Re: 1996 Grand Caravan Wipers FIXED
Ok - This one has me stumped (again). I've attached this to the old post, because it's the same vehicle... Customer returned to state that periodically, when they go out into their driveway and open the driver's door...the wipers come on. If I didn't see it myself, I would have thought the customer ...

1992 Ford F150 - (5.8L) Battery Light - FIXED
Battery light is illuminated consistently. Alternator tests fine under load or otherwise. No corrosion on wires leading to alternator or attached voltage regulator. Battery holding charge, no corrosion, and tests fine.

Diagnosis - Damaged valve body. Customer opted to have transmission rebuilt. Well...we tried, didn't we?
Thanks for your advice!

Re: 2000 Gr. Voyager - P0700 Trans Code
Thanks! I was afraid of that. My lube tech used a pocket scanner, wrote the code down, and the customer drove away, waiting for my call...
If we diagnose and determine that the TCM DOES need to be replaced...does anything need to be flashed or reprogrammed at the dealership?
(ya think?)

2000 Ply Voyager - P0700 code FIXED
Customer towed his vehicle in thinking he blew his transmission on the expressway. Truth is, he blew his pressure line, and drove it until he had lost all fluid. Can't be sure if damage was caused to the transmission. Code present is P0700 (Transmission Control - Internal) We fixed the line, filled ...

1999 Escort:Engine Cover Plate FOUND
Any suggestions on how to go about finding a rear engine cover plate for a 1999 Ford Escort with a 2.0? I can't believe how difficult this has been to find, and I don't know where else to look. We've exhausted efforts in contacting more than a dozen area salvage yards, even searched Ebay, and called...

Re: 1997 Chevy Lumina - Running Rough
The manufacturer told us that this is not an interference motor, and base on our diagnosis, there is an internal issue, probably spun bearing or damaged crank. We're replacing the motor for the customer instead of going on the clock and taking this one apart.

Re: 1997 Chevy Lumina - Running Rough
Although the work isn't completed yet, our technician discovered what he called a "hard spot" on the crank, where the engine won't turn over, and it can't be moved with a breaker bar. The car runs (rough) and starts fine otherwise... All of his diagnosis led him to a need to see under the timing cov...

Re: 1997 Chevy Lumina - Timing chain
Cylinder pressure tests fine, car still runs very rough...enough to stall. We've checked secondary resistance on the coil packs (roughly 5.72 Kohm), but is there a way to test them to eliminate them as a possibility (or condemn)? Also - what about a MAP Sensor or Ignition module...are these parts th...

Re: Marking Followup As Printed
Ok...it's working well to mark the appropriate recommendations as printed so I can print my report. Is there a simple way to clear all the followups in my database, or do I have to remember to clear them one at a time as I make the phone call?

Tim, That was the tip I needed to hear, Thanks! Yes - this has quickly become our FAVORITE custom report...is making our followup marketing very exciting, and immediately began showing results. TIP: Marking Followup As Printed
Is there a way to mark followups as printed without actually printing them? I used to print labels so I could go back into the customer/vehicle record one at a time to make followup calls on recommendations...then someone showed me the "Recommendations that have had followup contact" report add-on.....
