2001 Mercury Villager - Tie Rod Torque Specs
What is the torque spec for 2001 mercury villager sport outer tie rod to steering knuckle nut? Some sources are telling me 26 ft lbs, that doesn't sound right to me. Is it?

Replaced leak detection pump filter and line and cleaned out fuel rail and replaced injector o-rings. still have same issue. checked intake for excessive oil in pan, looks good. also performed test described in post and there is no suction felt. checking fuel trim and o2 sensors next.

how about corrosion on the mounting side of the BCM. Isn't that what controls ground to the PCM and TCM etc...? There has to be miscommunication somewhere, normally ground or high resistance. What's the condition of your battery (cca volts soc soh), cables, all fuses and all pins on PCM and BCM side...

Just to add, also check to make sure all ducts are fully connected and seated properly, because if they had any dash work gone rye recently, you could be losing pressure(or coolness) in the dash area instead of constant vent flow.

sorry for the late reply, but 02 dakota has no EGR valve, it has a leak detection pump and filter instead. I found cracked vaccuum lines from the filter to the pump. I was also directed to the fuel rail because it has only one pathway and may be clogged at a couple injectors. this is bossmans truck ...
