Automatically Adjusting Labor Rate for All of a Certain Make
Hello, I have multiple labor rates. I have one specifically for European vehicles. I would like to be able to apply this labor rate to every vehicle in my database because the advisors have trouble remembering to apply the change when the vehicle is in for service. Is there a way to do this in Mitch...

Re: Program Security and Requiring Password to Print Reports
Just wanted to give a quick update on this. I just got off phone with tech support. The issue I was experiencing was due to the fact that I was using the same exact password for every user. The system didn't like it. Make sure each password for each user is unique and you'll be good to go. Happy New...

Re: Program Security and Requiring Password to Print Reports
Thanks for your reply, that is correct, Reports-Print is check marked for the service advisor in question. His password assigned to him will not allow him to access reports.

Program Security and Requiring Password to Print Reports
Hello, I'm having serious difficulty with this after trying different settings and watching the program security youtube videos with no luck. We have 5 users at our location. I have set a password for each user. I have selected a few different protected areas which include "Reports - Print" and "Rep...

Re: How Is This Tax Amount Calculated?
I've still been messing with this. Something is very strange. If you look at the attached document and look at the 4 parts lines towards the end, the calculated tax amount is incorrect. For example, The first part is $106.74, but the calculated tax amount below it is $6.11. Our state sales tax is 6%...

Re: How Is This Tax Amount Calculated?
Ah, had to unpost invoice. Found it. It is attached below. Thought we figured it out as the discount states that it's actually a $10 discount on labor and a $15 discount on parts. Even when that is factored in, it still doesn't make sense. Another set of eyes would be great. Thanks for looking into ...

I've tried hitting Control F10 after opening the invoice in the customer's history but nothing is happening. No windows are opening.

Re: How Is This Tax Amount Calculated?
Shop supplies is set up as 3% of parts and labor with a minimum of $2.08 and caps at $38.92. Shop supplies is taxable.
Hazmat is set up as 1% of labor only. Minimum of $1.07 and caps out at $6.58. Hazmat is NOT taxable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: How Is This Tax Amount Calculated?
To come to $20.17, that means Mitchell is taxing $336.17 and I'm not sure how to arrive at that total.

How Is This Tax Amount Calculated?
Hey Folks, My wife and I have been pulling our hair out trying to figure out how Mitchell has calculated the tax amount on one of our invoices. We manually type in each invoice into quickbooks to track. We just type in each GL code on the bottom of each invoice. For example, we type in the labor, pa...

Re: Questions About Car Club Programs and Running Specials
Also, here is something else that I'm trying to accomplish in Mitchell, maybe someone can chime in with a tip. Let's say I want to run an oil change special for $29.95 for up to 5 quarts of oil and a spin on filter. I want to be able to show on the invoice what the full cost of the oil change would ...

Questions About Car Club Programs and Running Specials
Hey Folks, I'm looking to offer some sort of Platinum Car Care Club membership. It would be a concierge level of service for some of my best customers and they would receive a plethora of discounts and value added services. I'm curious if some of you guys on here have them, and if so, how you proper...

Re: Tire Report?
Bringing this back up. Is there a report out there that can show the cost and sales of each GL category that we have set up?
Seems relatively simple to generate since we already input the cost and the sale price on each part line.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How to make an RO for E-Time? (Expense Time)
Hey Folks! You guys have been wonderful with your help on this forum. Have another question that was hard to search an answer for. For the shops that track E-time or also known as expense time, are you guys also building an RO for that E-time so you can track it in Mitchell? We have a paperless shop...

Good stuff!
Do you have a time clock that you like?
Also, how do you add job codes in Mitchell to track the different labor lines that they tech may be working on for one car?
Thanks again!

Any tips from the group how you are able to get your techs to clock in and out for each labor line to help make the reporting more accurate?

Great info in this thread!
I have an additional question. Is there an easy way to input the actual hours for an entire invoice? Instead of going into each labor line and adjusting the actual hours individually?
Thanks!

Re: Building Canned Job Packages w/o Showing Part Prices?
I'll jump in... You're going to want to use Packages for that. Packages allow for one set price and will allow for parts to be added that will come out of inventory while remaining anonymous regarding pricing. The thing with Packages is you can't add the parts in advance. You add them after the Pac...
