Hi All,

So here's my question. On occasion I'll mark a invoice as paid before I put the techs name next to the billed hours. Even if I delete the payment I haven't found a way to go back into the invoice and correct this omission. I can't be the only one that makes this mistake.

You would have un post the invoice,make your changes and re post it. Its been a while since I've had to do this so I'm having trouble remember where you do this from but maybe another regular will pop in.

Thanks Paul, I thought it might involve unposting the invoice. If no else chimes in tonight I'll spend some time trying to figure it out tomorrow.

This happens to me all the time when I transfer revisions If I forget to change it before posting payment I go in and unpost and edit. I review it once a week with my tech productivity report

You will have to unpost the Invoice. Go to the History tab and highlight the Invoice.
Then click the unpost button on the bottom left.
If you want to prevent this from happening, go to setup>shop data>invoice validations and check this box....
You will get a warning if you don't have a tech on a labor item.

For me ill have a tech assigned but if the the line will show zero pay hours for the tech assigned but shows up in actual hours. I haven't taken the time to pin point the cause but I think it has something to do with transferring a revision

We've gotten into the habit of never entering a name unless the job is done and we are adding the time. With that discipline, we seldom have an error.
