Ford Injector Driver Module

Post by Tim Martin »

Does anybody out there know of a place where I can get an injector driver module repaired instead of always buying new ones? I got an 2001 F250S/D with a 7.3L diesel the IDM puked and we got another one but I am inclined to believe that there possibly might be places that repair these things.

never put much thought into it. wouldn't mind finding out if it's a simple fix. we repair the heater control modules in toyota's by taking the front off and soldering the broken wires. it's caused by the switch lock nut backing off, loosening the switch allowing the wire to vibrate enough to brake on the board.

I dont know of any companies that do. ButI do believe there is a chance you can do it yourself. I opened one up to look for broken solder joints and didnt see any but was told that you can resolder them yourself. I didnt see anyhting for sure worng so I got a new one

Ya now what steve? My son would ask me if I say something about memory "What's that?" Seems like the older I get the more of an issue I have with all the stuff I try to remember. Maybe you are not that way.
