try dorman #'s 674-159 and 674-244. i did a quick search and used an 1985 cab and chassis. the manifolds are readily available. another source i've used is "steven's exhaust manifolds" i got the # in a "motor age" magazine. when i'm doing a job like this i have an exhaust bender that makes it so much easier to adapt.

I have also used Steven's, their number is 1-800-443-2673. They have always worked well for me.

I have a set of used ones that have the air injection tubes in them. You can have them for $50 a piece plus shipping. If you are interested pm me and we'll get together on it.

I remember seeing a two piece manifold for these that allowed for the massive expansion and contraction on these applications. Can't remember where, but somewhere........

Ain't not ever heard of split manifolds for a 454. If you can, post the company name that makes them.

if your idea of "popping a few pills" is vitamins, calcium, and you spike your "o.j." with metamusil your there. it's amazing how we perceive old. when i was 10, 20 was old. now as far as this manifold issue goes i remember the flex joints in the manifolds. i seem to remember them in front wheel drive vehicles more than others. i also remember taking them out in pieces and for the life of me can't remember the applications. i would go on line and look at the dorman line or contact stevens and see if they have an on line catalogue. for years any time i remove a manifold or replace one i oversize the bolt holes a bit. don't use stainless steel or anything above grade 8 bolts. make sure that the bolts don't bottom out. i see many applications that the bolt is bottomed out, does the job for a while and then snaps. as we all know bottomed out usually means it stays but if it isn't a left hand drill bit takes it out. dorman usually includes installation kits and are worth their weight in gold. i remember some older applications didn't use gaskets. it's my understanding the reason for this was the expansion issue. if they don't call for gaskets then i don't install them.

Let's see here now. Is there any chance that steve has reached the definition of "old"? Does he take pills, vitamins, etc?
