I have a 2005 2500HD with the Duramax. This is my personal truck. Here lately the remote locks will not unlock at times with the remote. This is randon and more times than not it acts up. Now today it has worked every time. The lock button works every time and the door buttons work fine. When this first started I thought maybe the remote was going bad. We just bought a Snap On TPMS3 and it has a key fob test so I tested my remote and it'll show a signal even when it doesn't unlock the doors so it appears as though the remote is OK.
I looked at the wiring diagram and noticed a lock and unlock relay in the fuse panel. Even though I assumed if the unlock relay was bad the doors wouldn't unlock with the door button I was going to swap them since it was easy to try. My fuse panel lists them but they are not there. I've had this truck for awhile and everything has always worked so I assume my package doesn't use these?
I have searched iATN and Identifix and didn't come across this problem. I then googled it and found some DIY'ers asking for help with this same symptom.
Has anyone else ran into this? Anything you can give me pointers to look for?

Re: 05 2500HD remote unlock inoperative
Going way out on a limb here, are there any transmission towers in your area that have added new clients? A new cell tower maybe? Does it do it with both key pads? I believe that the snap on scanner reads a signal but doesn't match it to the actual receiver.

Pretty sure the TSB read "to solve this problem, post on a public forum."
