Phone Number Formatting?
I have a customer that on their screen it is not showing up with their number until I go into a revision or work order. Then on that screen it has their number and ___-___-____ after it. This has happened after the update. Has anyone else have this happen? When we look them up, using F6 it comes up with the customer, but phone number is blank.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Re: PHONE NUMBER
This is usually due to a formatting issue mismatch with your phone mask. Backup your database prior to making any phone mask changes. If you're familiar with this function, set your mask to all wildcard characters. If not, however I'd suggest giving us a call for this one.

Re: PHONE NUMBER
That happens to us too... it is because on of the lines in the phone list has been deleted wrong. Go into that customer's phone list. See where the highlight goes- should be the blank line that is causing the problem. Put a whole bunch of zeroes in that line... & make sure that line is not checked- close phone list & customer... Open the customer back up & then try deleting the zeroes. Should solve the problem..
If not.... then not sure
Hope it helps.

Re: PHONE NUMBER
He was trying a bunch of stuff like that last night. It kept moving from line to line. Guess I wait and see if there is a fix later.

Re: PHONE NUMBER
This same thing happens to us occasionally. Here is what I do.
Open the phone number list.
Double Click on the line that is giving you problems, this should highlight the whole line (all 9 characters) in blue.
Then hit the "delete" button on your keyboard.
If you are having the same issue as us, this is what works.

Re: PHONE NUMBER
Hmm, had different customer that in the revision line, it printed the changed revision, at the end it had a phone number that was not checked, it is in the customer list, but way on the bottom. Wierd, I may have to get my computer guy in here to see if he can figure it out.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
After you change the phone number (or other customer info) I found you need to exit the order and re-open foe the changes to stick

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
Their tech guy was trying a bunch of stuff. We did that, we shut down Mitchell restarted, still no avail. I don't have the time to keep calling, guess it is hopeless.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
Any progress on this phone number problem? Gets old calling the wrong number. I would think it wouldn't be that tough to have phone numbers show up correctly. I have to go into the customer screen just to get the right phone number, if I go off the pull up when you type in there name, I am taking chances on who I am calling because it lists whatever number it wants.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
Now I even have a customer that his phone number don't even show up when I pull up the customer info. Example hit F6 type in customer name and no phone number is listed. Other customer, you gamble on what phone number you are getting.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
Here is another new one, another customer, on the WIP screen it shows the same phone number in both columns, go into the customer screen, and I have the home number and the fax number clicked to show up, there it does, but in WIP it show up with both home numbers. This is getting old, no fix????

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
I made an inquiry yesterday, waiting for a response.
EDIT: I was just made aware of a PM to silky7 about this.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
I am sure this has something to do with the transfer to SE, never had these issues before. But keep getting told there is nothing to be done about this.

Re: Phone Number Formatting?
I'd agree that the migration process could have brought something to the surface; but I tend to think it's something lurking within your data and not the migration itself, as this hasn't shown to be a widespread issue.
I'm sorry I don't something more at this time.
