History sort order doesn't return to same order

Since v 8.5.1.419 the History sort order doesn't return to the same order.
1. Click the History tab from within a repair order
2. Sort on Category
3. Double-click/Open to view History Detail
4. Close History Detail (sort is not retained)
5. Sort on Category again and the order is not the same as the Sort on step. 2

I must agree. It takes a long time to find a history invoice I am looking for. What I have started doing is to make a copy of each invoice as a PDF and send it to a folder. Each folder is a separate vehicle. That is faster than trying to navigate the current arrangement and process.

Dan and ShopManTim, any issue that comes from a release is always put on the top of the development list ahead of any new development. We also need to balance issues and improvements to the SE software. Currently there is a plan to release this fix and a few others in the near future. The biggest reason is we're trying to see if we can find out what exactly is causing the random WIP resets that some users are still reporting, the WIP reset is extremely difficult for us and users to identify what's causing the issue. Since that has been a bigger priority on our list the history sort/highlighted row issue has taken a little backs seat, but it is still at the top of the list.

Thanks for the explanation as it at least makes us as end users aware that you folks in the R & D section know of the issues and acknowledge it. I agree, it has something to do with the latest release as it was not an issue prior to the latest update.

We take every issue that is brought to our attention seriously as with how many users we have we don't want to have long standing issues. If any of the administrators or moderators respond to a post that's an issue, it's been brought up with the development team and will be put on the road map for the software.
