Balances Due With License Plate?

Post by ppark1229 »

Wondering if there is a setting to show license plate number for a Balances Due report. Thanks

Balances Due is driven by customer data and the total they owe. They may bring in any of several vehicles so it's not a natural fit for license plates.

If the question you're trying to answer is "how much does that vehicle's owner owe me?", enter the License plate into the F6 / New window. The Customer screen includes a snapshot area to confirm what was spent and if any owed.

Thanks.
I forgot to mention that the balances due report I'm referring to is actually the "balances due report"s (dubl vue9, etc)
Unit numbers and VIN numbers show up but why not the license plate #s?
I have a used car/rental car dealer as a client and for their convenience I want to include as much information as possible so it would be easy for them to confirm which car owed how much. They would also be able to pull up each car's individual invoices to confirm the jobs that had been done without having to bother me about it, especially when for some reason the VIN or unit # is missing.

Okay, I was referring to the Balances Due report. I can submit an inquiry to product mgmt. for a potential change.

In the meantime, a simple trick is to enter (or copy) the License plate into the Ref # field; that way the plate appears along with the amount due:
