Sales Receipt Summary - Negative Amount?

Our report shows a neg. amount in the non taxable column. Am I entering the parts wrong somewhere?

The neg. amount is right under the non-taxable parts.

OK, I understand. Unless you enter parts with a negative sale amount (quantity or dollars), that column should never show a negative number. As there are several variables causing this, the best course of action is to consult with tech support.

I was told previously by someone on the forum that in order for us to charge sales tax on cores I had to enter the core amount and then enter it again as a negative to remove the core charge while still taxing the part. I assume that this is the correct way to do this?
