Individual Customer Balance Statement
Individual Customer Balance Statement
when trying to print balance due statement for one particular customer neither block at the bottom right is highlighted. we must enter a customer # and still the only two possible selections are "all" or "cancel" until the "enter" key is selected then "ok" becomes select able. At that point you are still getting all customer balance statements.

Re: Individual Customer Balance Statement
Here is an issue with not being able to use the customer ID option from this screen.
There are many ways to make errors. For example
In order to correctly locate a customer to retrieve a balance due statement it seems logical to go to the customer screen and locate the correct customer then the customer ID #. Then pull up reports, balance due, then enter the customer ID. This should pull up the exact customer you need.
Entering the customer name leaves room for error. Possibly a company uses & rather than “and” between the words of the name. Why do you want us to use report, name, and then back to report? Why is the ID not desirable? Why even have it? There is only one customer for one ID

Re: Individual Customer Balance Statement
I'm confused. If you have already located the correct customer, why do you need their id? Just use the correct customer.it seems logical to go to the customer screen and locate the correct customer
Yes it does. The same room for error when you use it to find the customer id.Entering the customer name leaves room for error
There's always 'room for error'. By using the customer name to get an ID, you add another layer of 'room for error' by possibly copying or transposing the ID incorrectly. Just stick with the customer name and skip the ID step and you'll have fewer chances of error. Every step you add imposes additional error chance.

Not to complicate... but: Enter the customer ID in the Statement Dialog,... then click on the Name button. The Rolodex will open showing the customer name and address associated with that ID. If you have typed the correct ID, click OKnrutland wrote: Then pull up reports, balance due, then enter the customer ID.
