Quotes To Estimates To Orders?

Post by themasterstouch »

Thanks Tim for the help this morning.

I seem to have a problem once in a while of converting an estimate to an order. This seems to happen when a customers asks for an quote and then wants to schedule an appt as a current customer. When I try to add the name on the quote, it will still show up in the schedule as a Quote customer. If i click on it, it will show the customers name, but I can't convert it to a repair order except through OPTIONS.

Understood. I'm back on the road again at the moment, sharing this with 2nd level support now for comment.

My suggestion would be to use the Options method if you have to keep that order moving.

Consider applying the new 6.4e update soon and see if it happens again.

tim,
We are on the new 6.4e and it is still not showing the customers name. And we are still having the same problems. I can reproduce this so if someone wants to get in and watch this is an options, if it will help. Hope you had a good road trip.

The best thing to do is send an email to tech support with your account # (then they can lookup the calls history) and ask for them to contact you at a mutually convenient time. We are going through some peak hold times at certain hours now and the email approach avoids waiting on hold.

Road trips are over except for this trip to HQ in San Diego right now.
