We have only been using time clocks for a couple of months, and the techs are having trouble remembering to clock in. I would like to put a reminder in the body of the tech worksheets(either under parts of labour description). I'm afraid of putting the reminder in the customer or vehicle info because it probably wont get seen. I am trying to remember to add that to every worksheet but I am also forgetting to do that. I would like a note that appears on every tech worksheet. Or does any one have any suggestions on how to have techs remember to clock in and out everytime.

OK bear with me this may be WAY out in left field.....
Is there a way you can have a printer, JUST for tech sheets??
If so, what if you Pre-printed some paper with some back ground print (gray) in bold print that say PUNCH THE TIME CLOCK (or what ever). Keep that paper in the "printer tech sheets" printer.
Not go to File, Print setup, click the little circle to the left of "tech worksheet" now under "select printer" find the print named "printer tech sheets"
Oh yeah, Welcome to the forums.

Welcome to the Forum!
You can make a labor item that reminds them, but you have to make your own reminder to put down the reminder. LOL. And I'm sure that somewhere someone can program the software to put reminders on every ticket. One for 'don't put the keys in your pocket'. One for 'lock all cars when in the lot'. One for 'road test all brake jobs'. Eventually, you'll have more reminders than work on your worksheets.
All kidding aside, remembering to punch in and out of jobs is a training issue. It comes down to telling them that each labor must have a punch in and out, no exceptions. It's part of the job. Manager doesn't tell me how to do my job. It documents what I've done. And my guys and I went through the same thing when we started punching in and out. Now it's second nature.
During a defined learning period, I'd be inclined to by a stamp and stamp each worksheet until the end of the learning period. Then they're on their own.
