Parts & Labor Category Validation?

Going over Category Profit Summary Report for 2014 and was amazed by the amount of Parts and Labor that were in the "Unassigned" category. Is there any way to add a validation option to work orders and/or invoices to remind us that we need to categorize these items? Validation work great for licence plates and mileage, would be nice option to cut down the amount of stuff that ends up in the Unassigned category also.
