License Plate Vehicle Change?
Good morning, When a customer upgrades vehicle but yet keeps plate number the system automatically changes all previous invoices to the upgraded vehicle VIN. I just had a CarFax question on this...Why can't the system retain the info that was on the invoice originally?...using a * or a + sign sounds so vintage...

The correct workflow is to create a NEW vehicle record so that the existing vehicle record remains intact on all of the history invoices.
1. Go to Utilities - Customer screen and select that customer
2. Select the existing record with the license plate in question
3. Backspace or delete the license plate characters
4. Click on Exit and answer YES to confirm you are deleting this plate from this vehicle record. [frees it up to be re-used]
5. Create a new vehicle record for this customer; enter the details including the old license plate.
