Payment Cannot Exceed Invoice Balance

We received a partial payment from one of our Fleet accounts. At the time, I posted the partial payment, along with the GE Fleet discount. A balance was then left in the amount of $60.87. The invoice also shows the balance of $60.87 remaining. When I go to post that amount, I get the following notice "Payment cannot exceed invoice balance, please re-enter amount paid".I renter the amount, but it still will not let me post. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

This is likely a rounding issue. Try entering 60.86 instead. The program is displaying 60.87 but thinking 60.86.

Another way is to enter the payment as 'on account' and not directly to the invoice. Then later, apply 60.86 from that to the invoice and ditch the penny through 'Update Customer'. This way will keep your books straighter.

We are continually running into rounding issues that cause our fleet accounts to be off a few pennies every week.
