NAPA Pro-Link

Post by Rich »

When I go to look up a part on NAPA, I click the Pro-Link button, The first page (vehicle info) generally loaded quick enough you could hardly tell what it was. Now, quite often, there is a long delay, 2 minutes?, before the YMM is loaded to the NAPA system. When this happens it is like I am dialing into the web page where you have to enter your own info. Most of the time that is what I do, sometimes I have the time to wait and the system eventually does it. Not sure if this issue is in our system, or in Pro-Link, or the data transfer between M1 and Pro-Link.

Any one else having this issue?

Manager simply passes the information on to NAPAs server to display the catalog for the selected vehicle. There are many things that can affect internet communications. My first inclination is to suggest rebooting all computer if not already done.

Rebooting does not help.

I've tested the Napa Pro-Link on our system numerous times today & I don't have a delay. (I thought I would try & test it, cause we always seem to be having problems with cataloging!) I do notice on the one that I tested it hadn't been decoded....(that pesky hard to tell button ...but that was another topic) It did take longer to decide that I needed to enter the information. Your local store didn't mess with any settings or change something on their end?

I thought about calling the NAPA tech support when and have them try and catch it doing it. But I dread calling any TS except Mitchell.

I did look at the "decode" button (really close) and it appeared to be slightly lighter than the License tab so that was done.

I will keep an eye on it.
