New Mitchell Product? (Ask-A-Tech)
I have Shopkey and have a question. A shop we talk to down the street has Mitchell. He was in last week and was talking about a new product that Mitchell emailed him about that is based like Identifix and it's included with his Mitchell. He really praised it up. I never got any email and was wondering what he's talking about?

This product is Ask-a-Tech. Access to it is included with any subscription of OnDemand5.com or ShopKey5.com. If the shop has a subscription to Mitchell1, they can go on to www.askatech.com to register and find out more information about it.

Re: New Mitchell product?
Is this available only for the online version of Mitchell1 or does this also include, like my shop where we get the CD version of On Demand? Perhaps it makes no difference.

I doubt it. Ask-a-Tech has been around for a while under the Snap-On guise. I think they wanted to do something like Iatn. One of my ex-techs was a moderator on that forum years ago.

I've attended meetings about social media and discussed the various ways we interact with customers, it's on-going.

The way Ask-A-Tech is administered requires an M1 or SK web subscription.Tim Martin wrote:Is this available only for the online version of Mitchell1 or does this also include, like my shop where we get the CD version of On Demand? Perhaps it makes no difference.

Then that is why I can't access it. When I try to register I get a message saying that my account number is not recognized. My Mitchell1 subscription is a DVD/CD version.timbre4 wrote:The way Ask-A-Tech is administered requires an M1 or SK web subscription.Tim Martin wrote:Is this available only for the online version of Mitchell1 or does this also include, like my shop where we get the CD version of On Demand? Right. All of the web subscriptions (repair, estimating, maintenance, vintage, AAT) go through a portal. Desktop DVD subscriptions are just not part of that equation.
