We're pretty excited at headquarters today with our product launch of ProDemand, the successor to OnDemand5.com. Thought I'd share the details I just received from marketing as the very first order for ProDemand was submitted this morning:

Today marks an exciting milestone for Mitchell1 as we process our first new orders for ProDemand, our next-generation, game-changing successor to our flagship product, OnDemand. This morning Deb Myers processed an order for ProDemand, written by longtime Mitchell 1 sales consultant Mitchell Evans for Thrifty Auto in Clearwater, Florida. We’re confident the service professionals at Thrifty will share the same, positive experience as beta users like Tim at Crossroads Automotive. Keep checking the video monitors for ProDemand updates.

I saw on Facebook it was available, I filled the on-line form out this morning and it said someone would be calling shortly.

If that's what it says, then I'm sure they will.

Think it was busier than they expected and that is always a good thing.

I'm a little confused. I thought this was an automatic upgrade for current users of OnDemand. Is it not? Do I need to call in to have it switched over?

I used this http://www.mitchell1.com/forms/proupgrade.html and entered my info. I got an email saying someone would be calling but I ended up getting an email that linked me to shopkey5 with my same login and password. I went to shopkeypro and tried the same login and password I always used and it worked. I tried this before I got an email and it did not work. Not sure why the email dirrected my to the old system

Will this be integrated into the shop management program in the future? I rarely go outside the management system since the vehicle info is already there and all I have to do is click a button.

I'll ask HQ about the signup email flow details and respond when I know more.

It is an upgrade from OD5.com. It could not be automatic as the interface to Manager is still in development for a release this summer. If a shop has techs accessing repair only, they could begin accessing ProDemand at any time. Any Manager workstations would need to retain OD5.com until the interface is done.

Here's some additional information from HQ:

"Existing customers need to opt into the new product to update their subscription. You can do so by going to the newsletter section of OD5.com/SK5.com and clicking through the links.

When you submit the form, your request will be entered into our Order Processing Queue. It could take about a day for Order Processing to modify your subscription.

Once you have ProDemand/ShopKey Pro, you will receive an email. The email contains your username/password and links to both products. ProDemand and OnDemand5.com if you are a Mitchell1 branded and ShopKey Pro and ShopKey5.com if you are ShopKey branded."

This is how it worked for me but there was no link for Shopkey Pro in the email. Maybe this has been corrected.

I assume that this is also in the works, but do you have an anticipated date for prodemand integration into Snap On Verus?

It has been said that the bulk of the integration between scan tools and shop management has some overlap so can be developed at the same time. Don't have an exact date as yet, both are fast track priorities and expected sometime this summer.

There are now 9-10 videos for ProDemand on YouTube under Mitchell1Rocks channel. 24/7 and always free educational entertainment

Definitely seeing some kind of good vibe or special excitement with this product in ways I've not witnessed before. [Smiling].

Well to be honest my techs have been getting frustrated with OnDemand5. Not that there was a lack in information but it was getting harder and harder to find what they wanted and jumping back and forth between section to get what they needed. When we sat down yesterdsay after work and watched the video they were excited. It looks to be something that will make everyones life easier and you know we all love easy.

Been useing it for a little over a week now and have to say that it is an improvement in the way you get your information, faster, more modern look also.

I logged in after some poking from Doctor Dorland. I like it, but my "how to use this video" doesn't work!
