Feature Request: Delete Vehicle at Welcome Station
I've had a few customers during check-in comment that they no longer had a certain vehicle when the vehicle list popped up. It would be nice to have a feature where the customer could request deletion.

Re: Feature Request: Delete Vehicle at Welcome Station
I would say a better request would be a spot for them to mark sold, no longer have opposed to delete.
Usually delete is permanent and if the customer sold to someone in town I would personally think you would want the history to stay with the vehicle.
We are in a small town and would not be uncommon even if the customer traded vehicle in to the local dealerships someone could purchase this vehicle that would bring in to us?
We would like to know the history of the vehicle and maybe what we have worked on.
However with that being said, since it is smaller town we would probably already know and could just change ownership I suppose.
Your original statement though of letting the customer delete a vehicle they no longer have. I would rather them be able to mark they do not own vehicle and it gets suspended or possibly moved to a default list of vehicle that could still be found maybe!
Just thinking out loud! We do not have Welcome Station but I have talking about it. This would still apply though to when I am writing up a vehicle and customer states they no longer have a particular vehicle.

Agreed. Welcome Station only conveys notes to the order, so this would also appear as a note, note an actual deletion. Shops are left to do what they want when the act on the note for deletion.

Re: Feature Request: Delete Vehicle at Welcome Station
Agree no delete for customer. We take and erase plate numbers here when a vehicle is sold, we then have a "customer" called sold vehicles that we move all the sold vehicles to, that way the record is available so if someone else buys the vehicle and comes in here. We have had this happen a few times already.
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Liking the idea to have a customer be able to note a vehicle sold or gone on the Welcome Station.
Have it be a note so that the shop can act upon the customer indication as they always do.
Putting it in for development.

I don't use the welcome station, but had to chime in opinion there. I think having them make the note would be great as you said then the shop handles it from there.

If you have decent foot traffic in your office, it probably would pay for itself in up-sells. And the up-sells are gentle, not in your face. It's well executed.
