Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
- I would like to see the appointment end time change automatically using the billed hours from an already existing order.
- I would also like the work in progress scheduled times to update based on what we have input into the scheduler.
- It would also be nice if there was an "update customer" button to change phone numbers or other data on an already existing customer.
- I would also love to see a search button to search for an appointment. Sometimes we put them on the wrong tech, or wrong day.
So far I am loving the layout, it is definitely a learning curve for us.

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
When you create an appointment from a newly created Estimate, the hours from the Estimate do not populate the Job hours, the title does not pass with customer name, and there are auto-created notes stating 'this is a follow up appointment. Not sure what M1's intentions were here, but it looks like this workflow was designed solely to create a NEW appointment apart from this order? Am I missing something? Without access to Symptoms (which we use on nearly every order), users will invariably need to create an Estimate first.

The color coding for the technician is great, but I feel it's wasted on just the Technician view. You have already columnized (my new word) the techs in this view. . Why not code the other views with the technician color? Seems to me that's where we REALLY need the color.

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
I been adding the name - quick job description and vehicle in the schedule and this is what it looks like when printing a schedule for the day. If you don't select more then a 30 min window it won't show up much detail.
I then selected just 1 tech to view and then print preview and it brings up a page for all techs on one sheet and very difficult to read.
Am I entering information wrong into the schedule or any tips to make it look better?

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
When starting an order from an appointment that has a technician assigned, the order auto-populates all parts and labor lines with the assigned tech. I suggest this function become optional.

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
I've been using the scheduler for just over 1 week now and have found many things that do not work well with out current shop flow.
1) We have 4 techs showing on the scheduling screen plus an extra "unassigned" technician. This leaves limited room for information displayed on the scheduling screen unless we use the appointment screen vs the scheduling screen. In which case the display looks like the WIP screen and voids any reason to use the scheduler. Why not just return to the "old" way of doing things with estimates as appointments and all the work flows on one screen?
2) The information displayed in the scheduling screen is only the first couple words of the notes, nothing regarding the actual jobs selected. It seems counterproductive to write only brief notes during scheduling to later "rewrite" everything when opening an order.
3) When setting an appointment it would be useful to access the history, recommendations, and revisions. Again counterproductive to open the customer in two separate screens and still not be able to use the scheduler to set up the full appointment, just more notes showing please add revision 1, etc..
4) It doesn't seem that any information pushes from created orders into the scheduler. Example; vehicle arrives, we sell work on the ticket, the scheduler should then block off the extra hours required to complete that job. Otherwise when scheduling future appointments the technician appears available when he/she is not.
4a) Does any information push from active repair orders to the scheduler?
5) There does not appear to be a place to update customers information once in an appointment. It would be helpful at that time to update the address, email, contact numbers, etc...
6) Is there a way to add a job to an appointment that is not in a canned job?
7) The old schedule calendar view showed total hours scheduled for any given day. Is there a place to find this information still?

Schedule Setup/Technician Availability: Provide the ability to account for technician lunch hours. We are open 8-5 but each tech takes an hour for lunch.

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
Currently the new appointment window allows 'tab' movement as follows: subject - appointment state - month of start date - month of end date - etc. In order to get to day, year, hours, minute etc, one must click with mouse. I suggest that the tab moves through all the date and time fields one at a time for easier entry. Very clunky the way it is now. Arrow right does move through these fields, but since we may already be using tab, this may preferable.

Another suggestion: When switching Resource View Mode, allow for the checkboxes to be 'sticky' and retain their settings from our last visit as long as the scheduler remains open.
PS: It's a GREAT feature to be able to KEEP the schedule window open all the time. THANK YOU!!

I agree with this as well noticing it taking longer to enter stuff due to the time slot.ricmorin wrote:Currently the new appointment window allows 'tab' movement as follows: subject - appointment state - month of start date - month of end date - etc. In order to get to day, year, hours, minute etc, one must click with mouse. Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
Trying to get a handle on the reminder feature. I created 2 shop events with reminders on the host. Neither reminder popped up on the host when due. Both reminders popped up on one workstation but did so at least 5 minutes early (clocks were synchronized), and one of the two reminders popped up on a second workstation. Only one of the two reminders popped up on a third workstation. What should be the expected behavior?

Since updating to the new scheduler the packaged canned jobs (example, oil change with pop up to select multiple oil options) will not show which selection has been made. There used to be an "x" that showed to let you know the selection your about to transfer.
Also when using the scheduler and adjusting the time there is nothing that shows a.m. or p.m.

Is there a place to search for an appointment? With limited information displayed on the scheduling view, it would be very convenient to enter the customers name and have a pop up that shows any currently scheduled appointments for that customer. Similar to how the Manager screen will show if the customer has open work orders.

Do you mean like this? If so, you can right click any heading in the Appointment list and search:RobsImports wrote:Is there a place to search for an appointment? Also it would be cool to have a labor/parts button when making the appointment. That way I can just click on it and the labor and parts will be on ther so I just have to print the invoice and give it to the tech.

That works in the appointment screen, but nothing offered from the scheduling screen?Silky7 wrote:Do you mean like this? Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
I'll record this for the team to consider. The tricky part would be matching a time interval that is appropriate. Considering if someone is using the auto schedule function to create 90 day follow-ups for LOF, there will be existing appointments for a lot of the customers they schedule, and that could become a nuisance message. Perhaps if we limit the results to matching customer and vehicle in the next 10 days?

Re: Scheduler FEEDBACK [Actual SE 7.0 User Posts Only]
Here are a few suggestions from feedback at my shop from everyone that uses the scheduler (even though its soo much better than the old and we appreciate everything on the new one)
- would be nice to print out each techs day individually
- Would be cool if you could see the description on the main scheduler instead of the comments - like if I add an lof from canned jobs in description I cant see it on the schedule unless I type in lof in the comments part
-Any way we can check off if a vehicle is here - a new color or highlight or something of that sort - just so we can all keep our heads in the loop of whats going on since it gets pretty crazy around here
Thank you so much for taking all of our comments into consideration
