I’m writing today to let you know that our MessageCenter texting add-on for Manager SE becomes available to order in Canada on Friday August 14th, 2020. We are pleased to deliver this long-requested product to your shop customers to use with their Manager SE systems. Reaching customers for repair approvals or status updates has always been a challenge. Our new MessageCenter option solves that issue by adding two-way texting integrated directly into Manager SE screens.
This was made possible by a careful review of CASL (Canadian anti-Spam Law) regulations regarding consumer privacy. Based on that verified review, we were able to revise the End User License Agreement to address this concern. It effectively spells out it is the responsibility of the shops to follow CASL guidelines to initiate texting communication with their customers. This texting EULA displays during MessageCenter configuration and is always accessible by the shop at the click of a button on the Text Messaging Setup screen. I’ve also included this text and the access details in the MessageCenter FAQ Canada attached.
Additionally, MessageCenter will facilitate more ProSpect activity as the texting option will allow shops to text customers a link from Manager SE to view an inspection on their mobile devices.
