TIP: Stay Under List Price?

Is it possible to have all my markups stay under list price? normally my markups are under list price, but when it goes over, i have to manually lower the price to match msrp. Any suggestions? Thanks

The only way is manually.

Many shops pay little attention to List Price. The number is made up and it means little. The name alone (suggested) lends itself to leeway. Most shops find that the matrix works well for most aftermarket parts and a lighter, manually applied matrix for OEM parts.

I agree with Ric. Published list or retail price is an arbitray figure. Even if your customer calls the dealer for pricing on a part you used and it is lower than what you charged, ask them to call the service department and ask them what they charge for that part. It probably will be even higher tham what your quoted.
When I was in the parts business it was difficult to convince my customers that from one supplier to another list price would vary. I have been chewed more than once because my list price was higher than XYZ Auto, however, their cost was lower sometimes considerably. I work from cost price only.
