Scheduling

Hi,
We would really like to use the schedule in the management system but it lacks the ability to schedule by the technician. We view this as very important to how we manage our day. I have worked in places with top to bottom roster schedules and it never works as good as a facility booking their techs individually. I was told two years ago by customer support they were going to implement this but multiple updates later I see no changes.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post.

We are discussing a revamped Schedule once again; it's a question of timing and resources. The plan was to implement it along with the By-The-Job (more precise inputs to feed Schedule) database work, but we may do Schedule module first. This can still change, stay tuned.

Schedule the appointment,
click on the appointment so it takes you to the order.
on the order tab click on Options in the bottom right
Select the technician

it will not help with showing on the schedule, but it will go to the correct techs,

In the meantime, put the techs initials in the note field on the schedule. That's what we do. It doesn't tally the hours by tech, but you get a good idea.
