Date of Manufacture

Post by madmoneymike5 »

Would it be possible to put on the vehicle tab a field for date of manufacture? It would be very helpful when searching for parts because sometimes there are parts made only for builds of a given year through a certain month. I've been using the memo field, but even when I make triple sure I haven't selected "Print memo on order," sometimes it does anyway.

Perhaps you missed it. There IS a field for that, top RH corner of the vehicle tab.
Date of manufacture goes here.

Well, I'll be! I did miss it. I wonder why it's all the way over on the right hand side like that when the rest of the vehicle info is on the left...?

It is on the right-hand side to appear with the snapshot data as it is not part of the VIN decoded vehicle definitions on the left side. Entry of this information is an option.

Now if only we could get that to auto fill when decoding the vin. Is that a possibility?

Not trying to hijack the thread here, but is it possible to prevent that field from auto populating to the current date when adding a new vehicle to a customer's record?
