Re: POLL: How to Learn Manager SE
I haven't used workbooks in 20 years but I feel there should be at least a PDF to refer to.

Re: POLL: How to Learn Manager SE
I answer 1. As it was the most correct answer for me. I can't say that they are not helpful at all. I have used them once in awhile. But I generally turn to the forums when I need help. I have found that looking for help can be found it many different places. how to ?, Help, help files index, you tube, training videos, M1faqs, managerhelp.buymitchell1.net, knowledge base......... For me it would be most helpful to have the "help" options in one central location. So i can go to one place and look for help there. Maybe there is and i am missing it?

I agree with Paul. There should be some reference material for first time users. Not something seasoned users would turn to, but good for those just starting out. Back in the 5.7 days I printed the networking reference manual and used it a bit. Pretty sure it's still lingering around here somewhere.

Exactly, the intention is to help get new SE users on board, not to use much as a continuing resource.
Online Help is accessed by Help menu text link to Help Index. How To icon in the Manager SE toolbar is the same as pressing F1 key; it's going to display the Help topic for the screen that is open in the background.

I have been using Mitchell for over 10 years (I think). I am always learning something new. It cant all be "taught"; some of it has to be hands on. I had never used PO's in the past. Learning that thru referring to the book from the training seminar, videos and hands on.

Very, very true Jeff.
The primary mission of these books is to just get people onto first base; to enter customers & vehicles then cycle thru EST / RO / INV, print INV and accept payment. Then go on to learn other tasks. Some new ideas will be applied to a PDF version to be delivered later this year.

Re: POLL: How to Learn Manager SE
When I started using the shop management system, I kept seeing references to refer to the Workbooks and wondered what they were. I would have loved to have workbooks.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting.
The LEARN & SETUP printed workbooks were included in the Manager SE product box for years. I cannot answer why you didn't have them. We recently converted them to electronic PDF files and then added active video links. They are available here: http://www.managerhelp.buymitchell1.net/docs.htm
