Invoice double posting

Howdy.
I post an invoice to 'charge' and the total amount owing in an accounts receivable report is exactly double. There's nothing else owing from this customer. Heelllp..

Never mind. Talked to tech support and they are equally baffled. : ) Please let them know if you have the same problem in A/R.

If we are talking about the same thing, we've seen it more than once. After posting an invoice, the balance shows AND the same amount 'on account'. We pay off the correct amount and update the customer to zero out the duplication. Hasn't happened in a long while for us.

Hello,

Would you mind checking to see if there's an address in the Market area of the Customer screen for the customers where this occurs? Also, is it only showing that way in AR statements, or when you look up the batch payments balance?

Unfortunately, so far I'm not seeing an obvious cause. Though I don't want to get mired into too much detail here in forum, a couple more questions for you (both):

• How long has this been happening?
  Probably a stretch if the last occurrence was some time ago, but do you recall if someone forcibly removed a lock on the record to post it?

Not sure that this helps at all. I get these randomly on different accounts. I have not paid attention to see if they actually matched an amount owed. I have had "my" issue for years.

Our last issue was too long ago for a correlation with a posting error. Has been happening for a while....a few months maybe. Very sporadic.

My issue was only discovered recently. Since the latest update, but I can't say there's a correlation.

Sorry, yes, exactly what Ric posted in the screenshot. There's an amount hanging out in 'on account' that doesn't belong there.
