We are looking to potentially purchase Mitchell1's Manager SE. Prior to that decision we need to know if we can build a work request screen, access the database tables and use them in the work request then process them into a work order.
The other question I have is whether everything that goes into SE needs to be a vehicle or can we use it for our "random" equipment as well (forklifts, Kubota's, mowers, etc)?

Re: Database Connect for Work Request Screen
I can answer your second question based on experience. We have customers with trailers, etc that we enter manually into our vehicle fields and never have an issue with it saving the information. It does not have to be vehicle information that populates that area. Hope that helps.

What sort of data elements would this 'work order request' screen include?krismj wrote:We are looking to potentially purchase Mitchell1's Manager SE. Re: Database Connect for Work Request Screen
I'd like there to be a work request screen with various boxes such as: "Is this a vehicle? Yes/No' If yes, choose vehicle (pop up list of licenses from tables). Then the info for other tables will populate based on the license table such as the owner (where they confirm that is the vehicle assigned to them) and then a list of the maintenance or preventative maintenance they need to perform will be a popup. The maintenance info will be the only things that shove back into the database work order screen. everything else will be confirmed to match. that's a 3000 foot view of what we need to build to work with this system if we purchase it.
