I just ran into something that needs changed. Had a customer give me a new cell number. I removed his old number and undated it to the new in manager. When his vehicle was done I sent him a text. After it sent I noticed his old number was listed under recent texting and that's where it sent it. I had to manually change to his new number in the texting box. I would have assumed that when a number gets changed it would remove it from the texting and add the new one.
Is this something that can get changed in a future update?

I just changed it here and it changed fine in texting. Make sure you don't use a history text thread. Start a new one from All Conversations tab. Click on New to bring up a new tab. The new number should be there. If you use a history thread it will be the old number.

I used a history thread. I like keeping them for awhile for documentation.

You can certainly keep them, just don't use one if the number changes. The program associates the number, not the customer; it's a separate thread in their eyes. Also, if you have Message Manager open and a tab open for that customer, THEN you go and change the phone number, don't expect the number to change in the open tab. Close it and reopen to refresh. The phone number is retrieved from the program when the tab is first loaded. It's static after that.
