Quite often we have a customer that makes an appointment then calls back and adds items that require parts. The way we handle this today is to create a Special Order for the customer, order and add parts to the Special Order, prior to the customer/vehicle arriving, then create a new Appointment in the Schedule from the Special Order and delete the original appointment. This way when the customer comes in for his/her appointment we just open the Special Order and convert it. Seems somewhat backwards...although maybe we aren't using Special Order for it's designed purpose.
Proposal:
Add Special Order to the Create list when double-clicking on an appointment. Currently there's New Repair Order and New Estimate...if a Special Order already exists just have an Open option as it does today.
