Resetting Invoice numbers
Resetting Invoice numbers
I have towing/auto repair business and I'm new to Mitchell. I need to be able to use the printed tow ticket numbers that my drivers carry with them in their trucks. I could enter these into QB separately but that would create duplicate customers, as most of my towing customers are also shop customers. Is there any way to use my own invoice numbers?

Re: Resetting Invoice Numbers?
Welcome to the forum and thanks for your question.
The starting invoice number is a one-time event and these are incremented by the program to assign the next available number. I'd suggest a towing Sublet with a note line to enter tow bill #.

Or.......
create an Invoice in Manager and let Manager assign a number, then use the Reference field for the truck ticket number.
