Accidentally Removed Vehicle

Post by dodgemasterauto »

I accidentally removed all the vehicles from a customer except the one we are actively working on. Is there any way to undo that action before the system is shutdown?

The database changes are committed instantly, so shutting down the system or not won't make a difference. You'll definitely want to contact support ASAP in the event you need to restore a backup. 888-724-6742.

If any of the vehicles had closed invoices on the them then you can go into an invoice for each and un-post then re-post the invoice. It should bring the removed vehicle back.

STEPS:
1. Select NEW then enter the customer's name
2. Select the customer if there's multiple customers with that name
3. Select History
4. Select the Customer radio button
5. You should see a list of all posted invoices for that customer
6. Select the an invoice for one of the vehicles that was deleted in error
7. Un-post and re-post the invoice

Now the vehicle should be back in the list of vehicles for that customer.

NOTE: Theses steps work regardless of shutdown. I've recovered vehicle that were deleted from weeks back.

*** Just be careful that you note the date that the invoice was originally posted and repost to that same date. ***
