8.5.3.1226 WIP grid colors changing on their own
Been finding WIP grid colors and font are frequently changing on their own. No other people use the user name. Is there a bug fix for this? Has happened numerous times over a few days, twice in the last hour.

Have any layout changes been made to this User profile while other Manager SE workstations were open? That could be the cause of a conflict between the stored User profiles data and it's current state. This may cause your User screen appearance to revert to default values. Probably best to contact tech support on sorting this out.priorityauto1 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 1:01 pmBeen finding WIP grid colors and font are frequently changing on their own. Yes we have 10 other workstations running at all times, but we've made changes to certain user layouts in the past while all workstations are up so not sure but if it isn't something others have seen then yeah it may be localized to this PC

So we have also noticed after we installed a new printer Mitchell is changing the default printer back to the old one after a few hours on certain workstations. Definitely some glitches with this new update.

There is a settings conflict of some kind. My only advice would be to exit Manager SE on all computers except one; define the colors for your User profile. Then exit Manager SE and re-launch SE to confirm they are as you prefer. Either this routine or contact tech support to see if they can shortcut that.BenjaminPeterson wrote: ↑Thu Apr 18, 2024 6:13 amHaving same issues with them changing colors I am the only station with my user. Windows 11. The Manager program crashes daily though. Might be time to move to another management platform, it's pretty insane how unstable it has become. Unhandled exceptions, WIP blanks with giant X across it, Napa catalogue not identifying the vehicle and not working. Just so glitchy.timbre4 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 2:03 pmIs that with Windows 10 or Windows 11?priorityauto1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 1:55 pmSo we have also noticed after we installed a new printer Mitchell is changing the default printer back to the old one after a few hours on certain workstations. There was an issue with 8.5.3.1226 where some settings that could end up being reset under some circumstances. Updating to the latest version of Manager SE 9.1.0.3357 will fix that issue. For the crashing and the other issues I encourage that you call into tech support at 888-724-6742 so that we can take a look and assist where we can.priorityauto1 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2025 11:16 amWindows 11. Why does the program not pick up that there is a later revision available? I am on 8.5.3.1226 and it says there is no update available

I asked about this and we believe its likely because when you fell victim to a safeguard put in place to prevent an SE 9.0 update that would keep failing. Your Windows operating system was either 32 bit and/or Windows 7 or 8 at the time your 8.5.3 was installed. That was fine at the time but problematic (incompatible) now with the SQL 2022 upgrade we started with SE 9.0 update last year.priorityauto1 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 1:44 pmWhy does the program not pick up that there is a later revision available? I'll spare you the rest, it gets pretty abstract for anyone on the outside. It would be best to contact tech support for guidance thru this upgrade which will likely take 30-40 minutes longer due to the underlying SQL 2022 update to the database engine. (this will keep us going for years)
