Model Year 2011 Dodge Trucks??

Post by rhillig »

Wanted to add a 2011 Dodge 3/4 ton truck to customer screen. The drop down for Dodge shows all kinds of cars, vans, suv's. But there are no trucks listed. Am I missing something or is it not listed???

Historically, truck information has always been released after cars unless early intro model(s).

My issue may be different, i am running 6.4. I called tech support and a wizzard got in and poked and pushed some stuff and all of my missing stuff showed up. I don't know a car/truck that i can't find.

I did find today that if you do the VIN decode the information will show up correctly. It is just in the drop down that the truck info is not there.

Rich - there is a tool to run and that's what support may have poked so to speak.

Can you confirm that you have these two truck models are in your drop-list?

If you check RAM as the 2011 make, you will see your formerly Dodge trucks.

Ram does not come up here as a Make in the dropdown. version 5.9.5.112

...
Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a piece of chalk, cut it with an axe. Sand it to fit.

It was SE 6.4 that was at issue here.

The current version of 5.9 is more like 5.9.5.143 or 145 to see this.

If your subscription is current you should have a Q1 2012 update disc.

Here is the 5.9 update schedule details: http://managerforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=7656

Dodge trucks are listed under RAM as of 2011. They needed a change or something! LOL
Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Just got back off the boat. I looked.

1. there is no 2011 DODGE truck listed.

2. there ARE 2011 RAM trucks listed.

Dodge no longer makes trucks. Don't ask me, the government got involved and made it all make sense.

********************* EDIT ****************************
I just now see the question about the Ford trucks. I do NOT find any trucks listed in my 6.4.521 system.

Tim,

When did you say they were going to work on updating the Model Year info via web vs disk? We are getting a lot of 2012 & 2013 vehicles in that will not decode.

The confirmed method is the 6.4d disc this summer. The alternative method we're working on is a separate updater tool that would work independent of disc releases. We didn't fix it because internet updates were coming soon. See below.

NOTE: Internet updates would eliminate the need for discs when ready; this was pulled out of 6.4d as testing it was eating up resources quickly while our primary responsibility is fixing the inventory issues with this release. This is why we're in the current situation.

Once you know where to look the chase is over. Since i know Dodge trucks are listed under RAM that's where i'm looking from now on.
