Quote by Job

Post by rcalderon »

Is there a way to quote a repair order by job?
For example. Someone comes in for an oil change and rotate. We do that and see that it needs a front brake job and a filter service. Could we add both jobs to the RO and show the customer the cost difference if they accept all of the services or just one?

I have attempted to look it up but I was not able to find any information if that was possible.

Thank you

Welcome to the Forum.

To quote by the job for added services, we just create an estimate for each job individually in the Revision tab. It's one of the reasons there are 9 slots. Once you have all the data in each revision slot, click on Sell Revision button. The resulting window will show you the numbers. Existing cost, cost of each revision AND a total at the bottom. This is the window I have open when I'm talking to a customer and approving work. I want them to know the exact cost of everything, including the bottom line.

Thank you ricmorin
I am coming from Alldata so I am still trying to figure it all out. Can you link to me the documentation or video that explains that in more detail.

Well then, welcome again! :D

If you click on Training Resources at the top of this window, and choose Learning Modules, you'll gain lots of valuable knowledge on program flow. There's a basic flow built -in, but you can omit, alter and change it to suit your needs. There's also Quick Videos up there that explain certain elements in less time.

There are lots of users on here with tons of experience. This forum is were you can tap into that knowledge.

If i can do it anyone can. Just click the revision tab on the order and start hammering away. It's a great way to compare and bounce back and forth. I have great results being able to show savings on over lapping labor.
