Napa Prolink

Post by quinn49 »

Hi our store does not use tams. Anyway to get a test ID store number? I would like to use the Catalog to look at parts and transfer to invoice. I do have the ability to order from our store via nexpart which we do after transfering to invoice. I do have a user name and password to view Prolink on the web, but no intergration to Manager.

Unfortunately, you will need to get the TAMS ID from your local store in order to use the Napa Prolink. The integration requires a TAMS ID.

Is there another store near you that DOES use TAMS? You may be able to get a number from them.

The TAMS number is also found on the NAPA invoice with a little investigation.

i would think a "test" number wouldnt give you pricing. I have to believe that somewhere some one would use it and see that the "test" TAMS got better pricing and all (enter your own word) would hit the fan. I would hope it still gives you list at least!

In my opinion a supplier supplies and should do what's necessary (within reason) to make it as simple and profitable as possible. Anytime my link has an issue Car Quest resolves it either at their end or at my shop. No bull nothing, just service. In today's market suppliers should be doing anything to help you purchase parts from them.

I have many parts suppliers wooing my business and they don't stand a chance as long as Car Quest keeps up the service they are providing. Getting off point here ( ) i called a local company that i have been trying to use from time to time when Car Quest doesn't have a part and i don't want to wait. I told the dink what i needed and he told me it had to be special ordered for the next day. I told him to go ahead and do it. I was told he would call me back if there were any issues. Yesterday i called and asked where the parts were ad was told they wouldn't special order for such a nominal amount of money. Two links worth 12 bucks. I reminded him i said i would pay for shipping. He started to get a bit argumentative with me and i asked him what was 6" long and goes limp in his hand. He asked what and i hung up. I'll never purchase anything from them again and will willingly tell anyone that the service at INTERNATIONAL CAR PARTS needs work.
never argue with a fool, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
