TIP: Note On Fleet Vehicles?

Is there a way to make a note on a fleet customer so it shows up on every vehicle and prints on the tech sheet. I have a customer that wants something done to all his vehicles when they are in the shop and I want to make a note of that, but he has over 40 vehicles. I can't remember to mark it everytime he comes in with a different vehicle. Please advise.

There is no single place in Manager for what you seek. You'll need to add this item to each vehicle for it to show on every tech worksheet. To start, type in what you need. Then copy and paste it to every current vehicle. From that point, every current vehicle worksheet will print this info. You'll need to remember to add this data if new vehicles are added. You can add a note under remarks to remind you to add the vehicle note. That's the only way I can think of to acomplish your goal.

I use the copy and paste a lot. I have orders that remain in "work in progress" that i copy and paste from. At least for my shop it's in wording that can be understood. Most times i'll just type away on the order and delete before going to the final print for the customer. Another thing i do is on fleet vehicles that use non stock items at the parts store i'll have an order with all the #'s i need plus it will get updated from time to time with repair notes. I have an account that is a dustless floor sanding company. There are 12 trucks. Each one has a lead order i opened and processed that i use for permanent notes. I can open it and scan that order and see what major repairs were done with the order # so i can open it. Nothing is more aggravating than opening and looking orders over one at a time to see when the king pins or the secondary motor was replaced.

in 5.9 I go to the vehicle screen and add a recommendation. this prints on the tech worksheet as well as the r.o. and invoice. you can copy and paste to each of the 40 vehicles, 1 time voila
