Open up your part tab for the core return. At the bottom click on the "Tax" box. in the pop up window, at the top, make sure the little circle next to Taxable is marked.

(If you are in Michigan you can not refund tax on a core credit)

yes I know that. But when you enter the credit for the core manager also credits back the tax. How do you show the credit for the core but still show the correct amount taxable?

I'm going with 19 cents not .19 cents. If you take a total of parts sold and computed the tax amount on it you probably will find a difference. There are always a few sales that the part figure stops a penny shy of the next bracket. So for example, if sale 1 falls short by a penny and sale two is under that threshold by (I think in Ma. it's a 4 cent amount) 3 cents the tax would be the same. However if you took two cents from sale two and added them to sale one then sale one will be in a different bracket and have more of a taxable amount. I hope that's correct. So in saying this if you added up all the taxable sales as one amount the tax computed may well be different from the amount collected. A quick calculation of taking a monthly total of sales and multiplying by your states tax figure shouldn't be the same as your monthly taxable intake on your monthly report. I can't believe I'm saying this, it's so out of character for me....................Probably dead wrong but I'm feeling pretty smart right now
