Security Setting on Labor Pay Hour Screen?

I looked all over for this topic and can't find it - if I missed it already being covered, please let me know.
So here is what I am after:
A security setting on the labor pay screen so that the technician or service writer cannot change the "Pay Hours" to be anything different from the "Charged Hours"
I checked all the security permissions boxes and could not find this.

It's hard to explain so I attached a picture.
There are some shenanigans going on with techs and/or front office - this is just an example that I cobbled together for this post.

Hope this made sense

I would either be re-staffing or start paying by billed hours instead of by the other hours. So either you have a front office giving discounts or a tech padding their pay, either one is stealing and would be dealt with severely here.

Sometimes when I transfer a revision to an order it leaves the paid times blank. Also sometimes when I open an order and later add a tech it leaves the paid times blank I have not seen what you show though.

I have also seen the paid times blank after a transfer but I have also run into where the charged book time is wrong and when I turn the charged hours down, it does not update the pay hours to what I had entered in the charged hours.
So I am not positive if I have staff screwing with me or if it's a glitch.
I thought the easiest way to figure it out would be to "lock" the pay hours - if there IS such a way.

I don't believe so. Mitchell has historically left that a dynamic setting. I have to wonder if there may be a 3rd party software that might be used to do what you want. I've never thought to look.

I was remiss in not suggesting the Manager SE Technician Viewer: http://managerforum.net/viewtopic.php?f ... 180#p82180

Thanks Tim,
I see you got this one a week after I posted. (Today in fact)
Looks like it should work and was what I was TRYING to explain.(Not well, I guess ;)
There wasn't a lot of explanation to what the fix does/ how to install.
Questions then:
1. Do I install this on the host or just work stations?
2. Do I need to create a new "User" for this?
3. Are they able to edit the "Work Requested & Performed" lines
4. Does it allow me to add a second technician to the labor line?
5. If I don't like how it "behaves" can I remove it?

I think that's all the questions I have - for now! :)
Thanks,
Rich

1. Do I install this on the host or just workstations? Any PC you want to want techs to access the WIP, orders, etc.
2. Do I need to create a new "User" for this? NO
3. Are they able to edit the "Work Requested & Performed" lines NO [that would be giving away a free workstation]
4. Does it allow me to add a second technician to the labor line? NO [must be done from regular workstation]
5. If I don't like how it "behaves" can I remove it? YES
