Database Backup

Post by Sauvageaus »

Noticed this a couple days ago and I've been backing up to a USP Portable Drive, have never had any issues until a couple of days ago.

I'd email tech support.

I am assuming this is a thumb drive or USB drive? Some thumb drives have a little write protect switch on the side of the case. Check to see if it does and that it may have accidentally been moved to the protected mode.

Check also to see if the drive is full.

it was a thumb drive, sorry been to busy to get back to this until now.

I contacted the tech support he tied in and we knew it was the thumb drive but couldn't figure out why it went to read only.

I found another thumb drive i didn't think I had, but got it figured out after putting the new drive in.

It may be due to the fact it was getting too full.

I back both Quickbooks and Manager SE up and bring home with me nightly just in case anything happens.
