Status Tracker
Status Tracker
I was wondering if we could get a list of possible triggers that can automatically trigger a status change. I know when you write up a ticket with the tablet, the status is set to Mobile Est Started and when the tech checks off everything in mobile manager, the status changes to Complete. Are there any other automatic triggers?

Re: Status Tracker
I just came back from Bolt-On university. I don't believe they mentioned any. My understanding was that the rest were from when the service adviser (or whomever in your shop) changes the status manually.

Re: Status Tracker
Status tracker looks at and uses the four status changes generated by Mobile Manager. The rest are from your own status set up in Mitchell. You will need to change the status as the vehicle flows through the shop.
Status Tracker also starts once the estimate is converted to a work order.
Hope this helps.

Re: Status Tracker
Yes, and what triggers the text in the first place? Can you send a manual version of the text? Some info would be helpful....

The four Mobile Manager triggers are:

Inspection Started
Mobile Est Completed

These can be set and found under settings on the tablet.
Access from the drop down menu for Mobile Manager left top of screen.

Re: Status Tracker
Status Tracker Update.
When the vehicle is in estimate mode, Status Tracker will not function.
When the estimate is converted to a repair order and Status Tracker is toggled on in Message Manager Settings, the text message is instantly sent to the customer.
As the Status is changed through manual methods or auto methods through Mobile Manager, the original link sent to the customer will be updated. As the customer checks through out the day, the same link will up date providing the status changes that have occurred.

Re: Status Tracker
So far this is pretty cool.
If you don't do Estimates and start with Repair Orders, Status Tracker still picks up the order and begins the process.
Any changes in status in Mitchell Manager or Mobile Manager will trigger an update to the link.
You can create a manual version by copying the verbiage from the Status Tracker setup screen over to your Quick Messages. If you don't want EVERYONE getting these you can send them manually this way.
I have some fleets that bring 3-4 cars a day. They don't really need all the extra text traffic. It would be nice to turn off these selectively, but so far it has been well received.
I had one job today that a message was never created for. Not sure why. We're looking into the details and seeing if we can recreate it.

Glad you got the Wildcard and made your own manual message. A good software work around.

Re: Status Tracker
After some investigative time with support, we discovered why some messages were not being sent. If Estimates are not converted into Orders in the same sequence they were created, the message will not send automatically. The programmers are looking into fixing this.
