Open Drawer When Selecting Cash?

Is there a way that I can hook a cash drawer to open when a cash payment is selected?

Almost all cash drawers have a port on the back to feed from a computer. I am just wondering, was not sure if there was a way for Mitchell to do that.

Our Manager SE software is focused on the overall shop management; not being a Point-of-Sale system. There is no mechanism to tie into an electronic register. I would assume (and this is speculation, since I've not used a register tied to a computer) that there would be a software for the register that could be assigned a keyboard hotkey. Something like the numberpad + that you wouldn't typically use. Maybe some users that have a register hooked up can chime in.

I assumed so, but was not sure if there was by chance that option.

Hotkey is another idea! that is way more professional then turning a key everytime a drawer is needed to be opened.
